LEARNING GUIDED MEDITATION

Hello everyone! Continuing on the March 2022 theme: peace and calmness, today's blog is guided meditation for beginners. Meditation can be extremely helpful to your overall being.

The Mayo Clinic states, "Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that can benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health...With that in mind, some research suggests that meditation may help people manage symptoms of conditions such as: Anxiety, Asthma, Cancer, Chronic pain, Depression, Heart disease, High blood pressure, Irritable bowel syndrome, Sleep problems, Tension headaches."

With this in mind, wouldn't it be nice to learn how to meditate so you can add those benefits to your life and well-being? A great way to begin learning how to meditate is guided meditation. Guided meditation is a form of meditation that is led by someone else, via video or in person. Today we are going to give you a few resources for guided meditation.

How to find a guided meditation video on….


Youtube-This is the easiest way to find guided meditation practice and it is free to find:

  1. Search for “guided meditation“

  2. Search for ”meditation for beginners”

  3. Find yoga teachers on youtube (they usually have a guided meditation section or video)


Other free apps that have guided meditation:

  1. Spotify- Check out their podcasts for guided meditation. You can do this by looking up "guided mediation" and checking out the podcasts that pop up.

  2. Tiktok- You can search "guided mediation" and it will come up with a few top videos of guided mediation. They also have creators that will give you suggested youtube videos for guided meditation practice.

  3. Instagram- Since Instagram added reels, there are people that have posted guided meditation practices since it is longer videos. You can find these easier by looking up #guidedmeditation or simply "Guided Meditation".
