FOOD FRIDAY: FROZEN BANANA TREATS

Happy FOOD FRIDAY! Who else loves ice cream in the hot summer weather? Any of those people, also not love the amount of added sugar in ice cream? Or maybe you want or need to stay away from dairy? Well today, we have an alternative dessert option: FROZEN BANANA TREATS! These treats contain 5 simple ingredients, it's easy to make, gluten free, vegan, and YUMMY! FROZEN BANANA TREATS

Serves: 1 person

Time: 5 min prep, 1 hour wait

Ingredients

  • 1 banana

  • 3 tbsp of chocolate chips

  • 1 tsp of coconut oil

  • 1 tbsp of nut butter of your choice

  • Coconut flakes or other topping of your choice

Steps

  1. Slice your banana up into 1/2 inch slices.

  2. Use a spoon or butter knife to spread your nut butter on one side of the banana slices.

  3. Then, sandwich the slices together, with the nut butter sides facing each other, until you have around 8-9 banana nut butter sandwiches.

  4. Combine and melt your chocolate chips and coconut oil together.

  5. Once melted, half-way dip your banana sandwiches into the chocolate mix.

  6. Then, top it with coconut flakes or another topping of your choice.

  7. Place your chocolate covered banana sandwiches onto a tray and put into the freezer for at least 1 hour or until frozen.

  8. Take out, and enjoy! (This treat can be stored in the freezer for up to 2 weeks)
