Happy FOOD FRIDAY! This recipe is based off of Ayurvedic medicine's traditional moon milk. Ayurvedic medicine is a form of holistic healing that has been practiced for over 3,000 years, beginning in India. Moon milk is used as sleep deprivation remedy and can be consumed before bed to help aid sleep. The basics of moon milk is a combination of milk, herbs, and spices. This specific recipe contains certain herbs like passion flower and spices like cardamom that aid in calming the body. It is good for a stressful day or before bed if you are struggling to sleep, as mentioned before. Instead of using cow milk, we will be using plant based milks like almond or cashew milk in our recipe to make it vegan. Not only is moon milk healthy, yummy, and helpful for our bodies, it also is super simple to make.
