FOOD FRIDAY: A GOOD LUCK GREEN DRINK

Happy Food Friday! Yesterday was St.Patricks day so we decided to continue the green vibes with a GOOD LUCK GREEN DRINK! Keeping with the March focus of peace and calmness, this juice has ingredients that can bring you good luck when it comes to clearing up your face and skin! Spinach, apple, kiwi, lemon, and grapefruit, (all ingredients in this juice), have properties that help fight acne. Acne battles can be super difficult but with one step at a time (like this juice), they can come to an end, and you can have calmed skin. Not only does this juice have skin clearing benefits, but it is also delicious and good for your overall health! Sometimes green drinks can have a bitter green flavor, but this one is balanced out with goodness and tastes like perfection! If you try this GOOD LUCK GREEN DRINK, tag us in a photo/story on Instagram @beeramagazine, so we can repost your photos (with credits). Now let's get to this recipe!

A GOOD LUCK GREEN DRINK

TIME: less than 20 minutes

SERVES: about 4 cups of juice (32fl oz)

INGREDIENTS -three green apples

-10 stalks of celery

-4 kiwis

-3 cups of spinach

-1 tbsp of lemon juice

-1 tbsp of grapefruit juice

ITEMS NEEDED

-You will need a juicer or a blender to make this juice. We have provided to different "step" sections: one for making it with a juicer and a second for making it with a blender.

OPTION ONE-WITH A JUICER

  1. Cut up all your ingredients so that they are small enough to fit into your juicer.

  2. Then, juice the ingredients. (The order of it doesn't affect the juice)

  3. Pour yourself a cup and enjoy! (It will stay good for up to a week in the fridge).

OPTION TWO-WITH A BLENDER

  1. Cut up all your ingredients so that they are small enough for your blender to handle.

  2. Blend all the ingredients together until there is little to no chunks left.

  3. Grab a large bowl and place it in the sink (or a place to catch liquids)

  4. Using a cheese cloth or a nut bag, pour your blended ingredients into the cloth over the sink to catch the juice. (A strainer will work but the texture will more smoothie like rather than juice)

  5. Squeeze the cloth over the bowl to extract the juice from the blended ingredients. (This process is similar to making almond milk for those that are familiar with that)

  6. Then take your bowl of squeezed juice, pour it into a cup and enjoy. (It will stay good for up to a week in the fridge)

Again, happy FOOD FRIDAY (or drink in this case)! If you try this GOOD LUCK GREEN DRINK, tag us in a photo/story on Instagram @beeramagazine, so we can repost your photos (with credits).
