Thanksgiving is a time for thankfulness: Thankful for the people around you, your current life, kindness in strangers, the warmth of the sun. It is a time for traditions: A dinner spent together, watching parades, volunteering, donating food for others in need, staying up late to shop. A time to spend together: Dinner together, sharing together, cooking together, laughing together, time together. But thanksgiving is also a time for new things: New foods, new gifts, new ads, new movies, new family, new thankfulness, and NEW TRADITIONS. Sometimes, the creation of something new is just what you need to add to your holidays. New traditions can actually help fill voids in holidays and it can create a feeling of accomplishment. That feeling of accomplishment is known for helping combat depressive and anxious feelings, so if you're someone who struggles with holiday blues or anxiety, a new tradition might be what you need. New traditions are good for everyone and it can be fun to do something different and unique. Since it is hard to figure out exactly what you want to add to your list of traditions, or where to start, we have created a list for you to go off of.

A reminder for the people who need it: "Be grateful for the things that are overlooked in life too often. Take the sky for instance: how the clouds move in the sky, how the sun waves good bye to the moon each day, how the stars are ever-changing, how the sky changes colors every sunset, and how it manages to never looks the same twice. It's those things in life, that can be the best parts about living." -Brooklyn Dieterle, owner of BE era Magazine.
