FOOD FRIDAY: GOLDEN MILK LATTE

Happy FOOD FRIDAY...well I guess it should be called "Drink Friday" today but we will stick with FOOD FRIDAY for now. Today's "food" is a GOLDEN MILK LATTE. This recipe is full of anti-inflammatories that are wonderful for your body. Anti-inflammatories help reduce the bodies inflammation, meaning it can help reduce your chances of diabetes, cancer, obesity, and heart disease. It also helps with depression, systematic lupus, irritable bowl syndrome, and rheumatoid arthritis. And a bonus to the health benefits, it is super quick to make. Keep reading for the recipe to this healthy, quick drink.

SERVES: 1 person (about 1 1/2 cup)

TIME: less than 5 minutes


INGREDIENTS -1 1/4 cup of coconut/cashew/almond/or hemp milk (whichever type of milk you drink, we used almond milk)

-1 tbsp of hot water

-1 tbsp of honey or maple syrup

-1/2 tsp of turmeric

-1/4 tsp of cinnamon

-1/4 tsp of ginger

-1/4 tsp of vanilla extract

-dash of cardamom

-ice


STEPS

  1. Add the turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and vanilla to your cup.

  2. Then add the hot water and mix well.

  3. After it is well mixed, then pour the ice in the cup.

  4. Once the ice is in the cup, then pour the milk and honey/maple syrup inside the cup.

  5. Mix everything together and ENJOY!
